Gweneth Rushton (née Roberts) – Founder
Gweneth established Decisions For Growth in 1996 and has demonstrated immense skill and tenacity in successfully establishing a flourishing business over 20 years. She can offer genuine insight and robust judgement backed by 25+ years experience in blue chip HR environments such as Revlon International, where she was European HR Director. As an experienced HR Executive, Gweneth is completely in sync with her clients’ demand for innovative HR support. Her approach is one of unstinting honesty and authenticity with both prospective clients and candidates and she prides herself on her instinct for placing the right person in the right job. Stylistically, she is professional yet unpretentious, warm but direct. Gweneth is a graduate of York University and is CIPD qualified.
Gail Medcalf – Director
Gail joined DFG in 2002 and quickly helped to form a highly complementary and collaborative team. Prior to joining, she had built up 15+ years senior HR experience in organisations such as Cadbury, Seagram and Pepsi. Gail combines a rigorous, probing style with a highly flexible and imaginative approach to solving a hiring challenge.
With over 14 years’ specialist HR Search experience, she is swiftly able to evaluate the talent of potential applicants. Gail has energy, drive and determination to succeed and will leave no stone unturned in seeking the right candidate. She is known for her forthright and skilful feedback which is of enormous benefit to clients and candidates. Gail was educated in the UK and overseas. Gail is CIPD qualified and is a graduate of HOSTA, Leysin, Switzerland. She is trained in a number of psychometric assessment tools.
Carole Bodell – Associate Director
After a number of years of informal links to Gweneth and the team, Carole formally joined DFG as an Associate Director in September 2015.
Carole’s career in search and resourcing spans in excess of 25 years. Carole was one of the founder members of Select Appointments Plc , one of the largest Global Recruitment companies and in 2000, she founded HRi a specialist boutique HR Search firm, which she sold to Randstad NV in 2012. Carole was then appointed to join the Telefonica Digital team (in-house) to set up their Global Resourcing function; this involved building an in-house resourcing team and the hiring of 20 senior executives. She then joined the global Search firm Norman Broadbent where she successfully led and transformed their Leadership Consulting business.
Jayne Parkin – Senior Consultant
Jayne has worked for Decisions For Growth since 2001, following 15 years’ varied in-house HR experience in the retail sector, notably at Debenhams. Warm, zealous and energetic, Jayne is passionate about customer service and works through an assignment with tremendous organisation and attention to detail. Above all, she places a high value on real-time, quality communication with both client and candidate, moving effortlessly and confidently between industry sectors and embracing each one in turn with her own brand of dynamic positivity and enthusiasm. Jayne is CIPD qualified.
Tracey Pearce – Candidate Manager
Tracey has over 20 years’ HR experience primarily gained at companies such as Max Factor, Revlon and Ralph Lauren, where she also supported various members of the senior executive team, including Gweneth Roberts. As a trusted previous colleague, Gweneth asked Tracey to join the team in 2013. She has responsibility for our extensive candidate database and also provides overall administrative support.
